-
Can I choose the pressure level?Absolutely. Just let your therapist know your preference—whether you like light, medium, or deep pressure—and we’ll adjust throughout the session to keep you comfortable.
-
Is massage helpful after trekking?Yes! Our Post-Trek Massage is one of our most popular treatments and is designed specifically to relieve soreness and stiffness after hikes like the Inca Trail or Salkantay Trek.
-
How do I book a session? You can book online, message us via WhatsApp, or call. If you have questions about which massage is right for you, we’re happy to help you choose.
-
How does floatation therapy work? You float effortlessly in a private tank filled with warm water and 500kg of Epsom salt. The zero-gravity effect eases joint pressure and promotes deep relaxation.
-
Is float therapy safe at high altitude in Cusco?Yes! In fact, it’s especially beneficial. Many visitors find floating relieves altitude-related symptoms like fatigue, poor sleep, and muscle soreness.
-
What should I bring or wear?Nothing is needed—just bring yourself! You’ll float in your birthday suit in a private tank. We provide towels, showers, and all amenities.
-
Will I feel claustrophobic in the tank? Most people feel the opposite. The float tank is spacious, and you can choose to keep the light on or off. You’re always in control.
-
Can I float if I’ve just finished a trek?Absolutely! Floating is ideal for post-trek recovery. It helps reduce inflammation, muscle soreness, and mental fatigue—perfect after the Inca Trail or Salkantay.
-
Is it hygienic?Yes. Our float tank is thoroughly filtered between each session and uses a triple-filtration system with UV light and Hydrogen Peroxide, ensuring crystal-clear water.
-
What is the longest I can float for? Most people float for an hour. However, the longer and more regularly you float, the greater the benefits you’ll experience. Increasingly, people are booking double floats, but we don’t have a maximum. As we don’t need to prepare the room between sessions, you benefit from an extra half-an-hour: So for a double float you will get 2.5 hours
-
Will the salt dry out or damage my hair?As long as you wash and condition your hair after each float, the magnesium in the Epsom Salt will improve the condition of your hair and scalp and not damage it.
-
How do you keep the temperature right?A mechanism in the pod brings the water temperature to 36 degrees - the same as your skin and the air, so that you cannot tell where the water begins and ends.
-
How much salt do you use?We use half a tonne (525kg) of Epsom salt per pod.
-
Is there any risk of drowning?Don’t worry, there’s no way you can drown - even if you tried! The high buoyancy of the water makes it impossible for you to sink beneath the surface.
-
I'm pregnant. Can I float? It is completely safe for pregnant women to float. Many women have found unique relief from the physical strains of later pregnancy when they float, as pressure is taken off of their backs. We also hear from pregnant women that floating is the perfect environment to connect with their baby, as they can more easily sense them in the stillness of the pod.
-
Can I float if I'm menstruating?Yes, you can float when you’re menstruating - it can be the perfect way to nourish yourself, and to encourage your muscles to relax if you get cramps. Just follow the same process as when you go swimming.
-
Why does my neck hurt? We’ve had a few first-timers say that their neck hurt during their session. That’s because we are used to holding our neck up and sometimes too far forwards, especially when using phones and computers regularly. It can be challenging to fully relax our necks in the pod and allow the water to fully carry the weight of our head. But after a couple of floats it will become natural, and tension will disappear. We have a Halo Float Pillow, which is designed to provide the neck with extra support, should you want to use that.
-
Can I float with low or high blood pressure?Floating is proven to reduce blood pressure. Check with your doctor about floating if you suffer from low blood pressure.
-
Can I float with a new tattoo?Floating and fresh tattoos don’t mix. The time you would need to wait depends on the tattoo (check with your tattoo artist), but we would recommend waiting 4-6 weeks before floating after getting a tattoo.
-
I just shaved prior to floating. Can I float? We recommend saving your shave for a non-float day, as the salty water can sting freshly-shaven areas.
-
Can I float or enter the hyperbaric chamber with epilepsy? For safety reasons we do not allow people with epilepsy to float or enter the chamber.
-
Do I need to bring anything for the float session? There’s probably nothing you need to bring with you. We provide: towels, earplugs, organic shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.
-
What can I expect for my first float? The majority of people emerge from their float feeling refreshed and relaxed, with a clearer head. The benefits are different for everyone, so it’s best to be open-minded about what you’ll experience. Sometimes it can take a few floats to learn how to swtich off fully - so stick with it if you felt like you could have relaxed more deeply.
-
Will I get dehydrated from floating?Because of the high salt concetration in the water, floating can be slightly dehydrating. However, just counteract that by making sure you’re hydrated pre and post-float and you won’t notice any difference.
-
Do I need to prepare in any way?You don’t need to prepare for you float. However, we recommend not shaving or drinking caffeine on the day
-
When should I arrive and what if I'm late? Please arrive 15 minutes before your float session is due to begin so that we have time to check you in and explain everything thoroughly. If you are just 5 minutes late, we can offer you an 5 extra minutes on the end of your float if you can shower quickly. But if you are any later you will have to have a shorter session time, because we need time to thoroughly clean the rooms between each customer. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late then we will do our best to accommodate you but you might be rescheduled.
-
Should I eat before floating? We recommend a light meal two hours before your float. Ideally you’ll not be hungry or too full in the pod.
-
I have just died my hair. Can I float? It’s important that you’ve washed your hair a couple of times since it was dyed. That way the dye will have set properly, and the water won’t harm your hair colour, and your hair colour won’t colour our pods!
-
Do I have to take my contact lenses out?If you wear contact lenses, you don’t need to take them out, but you do need to be careful not to get any water in your eyes as it will irritate them.
-
Can I wear a head cap to keep my hair dry?Swimming caps or head caps don’t keep the water from coming into contact with your hair completely - so you will probably still need to wash it post-float to get the salt out. Wearing something on your head can also compromise the experience of a lack of sensation, so we recommend floating without one on if you can. But it’s entirely up to you!
-
What happens if I get salt in my eye?If you get the water in your eye, it will sting. But don’t worry - there’s a spray bottle filled with fresh water inside each pod. Simply spray this into your eyes and the stinging will stop.
-
Can I keep the lid open? You have complete control of the lid. Our pod lids are manual, not mechanised, so you never have to fear being trapped! We recommend closing it to keep the temperature constant and experience the darkness, but you can open completely if you prefer.
-
Can I listen to music throughout?Yes, you have the option to listening to music or floating in silence. There is a button inside the Pod that will turn on/off the music depending on your preference.
-
Do I have to use earplugs? It’s not a requirement that you wear the earplugs, but we really recommend it. They add an extra layer of soundproofing, and prevent salty water from getting into your ears. And don’t worry, we provide them free of charge.
-
What is a mild hyperbaric chamber? It’s a pressurized capsule that increases air pressure slightly (to 1.4 ATA), helping your body absorb more oxygen through your plasma—not just red blood cells—enhancing cellular recovery and overall wellness.
-
How does it help with altitude sickness? At higher pressure, more oxygen reaches your tissues, which can reduce symptoms like fatigue, headaches, dizziness, and poor sleep—common issues when adjusting to Cusco’s 3,400m elevation.
-
Is the treatment safe?Yes. Mild hyperbaric therapy is non-invasive, drug-free, and safe for most people. Sessions are supervised, and you can relax, read, or even nap during the 60-minute session.
-
How many sessions do I need? Many people feel noticeable relief after just one session. However, if you’re dealing with lingering symptoms or want to optimize recovery, 2–3 sessions may provide even greater benefit.
-
Is it for everybody? The chamber is fairly tight so it isn't for those who suffer from claustrophobia. The pressure is similar to diving, so if you aren't allowed to dive (suffer from ear issues) then the chamber isn't recommended.
-
Can it treat severe altitude sickness? If you’re experiencing serious symptoms like trouble breathing, confusion, or blue lips/fingertips, you should seek emergency medical care. Our therapy supports mild to moderate symptoms and is not a substitute for clinical treatment.
-
What’s the difference between the Hyperbaric Chamber and the Altitude Combo? The Hyperbaric Chamber session includes 60 minutes in the chamber. The Altitude Combo combines the chamber with a 60-minute massage for enhanced recovery and relaxation.
-
Are your passes just for 60 minute therapies? The prices that we market on the website and in the studio are for 60 minute therapies however we can also offer 90 minute passes and gift cards. We will just need you to write to ask or speak to us and we will give you the prices.
